Kari, Care', Kair...a rose by any other name...
My name is Kari Lynn, or Care' Llinn, if you were to spell it in phoenetic Gaelic. I am female, 22, and if I told you any more than that, I'd have to kill you. ::grins::
Actually, I'm a tailor, a singer, a writer of music and poetry, and I love life in general. There is so much about me, it'll be hard to explain, simply because I don't know where to begin.
I s'pose I shall begin at the beginning...or so they always taught me in school...I live in Illinois, land of corn, pigs...and I think that's just about it. Actually, our claim to fame so to speak is President Abraham Lincoln...who really only lived in Illinois in passing. You know, we do have Chicago, the pleasure-dome that it is, but seeing as I live only 40 miles away from it and have only been there less than, oh, 20 times in my life, what is there to say? I've been online for about 4 years now, closer to 5, and every year I have to re-teach myself HTML so I can update these darn pages. Maybe I should do it more often? I'm waiting for someone I never knew to write me and say they found my site witty and informative...but I'm not holding my breath, if you get my meaning. I'm totally devoted to my family and I love them all very much. I don't think I could have done half the things I have without their support and help when I needed it most. I own two cats, named Lizzie and Bosco...cute as hell and about 7 months old. I'm a hopeless romantic currently dating a wonderful man named Daniel Schrum...he's done so much for my family and I...I love him to death and he's probably the only person other than my mom who'll put up with my insane shit without totally cracking and braining me to death with my own shoes.
I think I figured it out!
I finally figured out how to succinctly express what I am to the "online community". I'll just list everything, and if you have any questions, dial information. (Thank you for calling.)
I am: (not necessarily in order of importance or favouritism)
- Currently unemployed again. ::shrug:: Good work is hard to find. I used to work in downtown Chicago at a tailoring shop in the Loop, but apparently there aren't enough people losing/gaining weight. Eat more twinkies, people!
- Soprano I, somewhat operatically trained...ok, so I don't know any Italian, never sang in an opera, and the closest person I even know to an opera singer is my best friend, Mary Gunn. I do have a vibrato you can drive a truck through, though.
- Daughter to Wolf and Sister to a crazy fuckin hacker-juggalo Dragon and Hawk...pages to follow...:D
- Currently dating an insane fweek named Dan...Rahvin for short (even though technically and character-wise it is longer). (Fweeky sugah pannies.) He and I began dating last August, and it will be a year this August 16th...he's been nothing but sweet to me, and I do believe I love da boy. Ooo, I'm gettin tha vapors...
- A Gemini Extrordinaire--straight out of a textbook, if they wrote textbooks on astrology. Sometimes I believe I have two separate personalities...decisions are impossible for me, and if somethings not creative, I want no part of it. That would explain why my web page is awesome (heh heh heh), my ren garb is also beyond compare, but I've been out of college for 3 years now and I haven't paid any of the loans anything. Oops!
- A huge Stephen King fan--I own almost everything he has done in hardcover. I'm looking for some of the more obscure things he's done, the short stories he's only had published in magazines, etc. Hard to find.
- A short person (5'4", thank you for askin'.) Not much to elaborate on this. Short is short. What do you want?
- Driver of an 89 Grand Am sans muffler. Oh yeah, needs a paint job too. And a transmission. It could use an oil change, too...really, it's just a box on wheels.
- IMHO, a talented tailor and costumer. I can make an entire renaissance court lady's outfit in a weekend. HA! I'd like to start my own business someday, but I have to get some more experience in business management and the like. The work I can do. The paperwork, eh, that might be another question altogether.
- A believer in faeries. ::Claps hands:: I have always thought there were strange forces working in my life, around me but never directly interfering with my body...lost keys, strange noises, intuition and close calls all are attributed to faeries in my mind. (Sometimes my Granpa Duke has something to do with it...but more often than not, he's just fucking with my mind.) I've always felt a bond with the wilds, be it a meadow abloom with wildflowers or a plot of land left to grow back into a copse of trees. Where civilization is least obvious is where I am most comfortable.
